Our objective is to promote well-being and help alleviate the distress resulting from the diagnosis of cancer and other long term, life threatening conditions.

We aim to provide a CONFIDENTIAL service to those living with cancer, their families and carers.

The centre provides a health professional and trained volunteers who in turn support members of the community who are directly or indirectly affected by cancer.

Stranraer Cancer Drop in Centre Association was originally created to supply information and support for people with cancer, their carers, friends and relations - in fact anyone touched by cancer and other serious illnesses.

Regular meetings for these people were held by Irene Hunter, a district nurse who recognised and responded to need.
