Disability Benefits Scotland

We have partnered with Social Security Scotland and their Local Delivery Service to help you with the disability benefits application process.

Every year 34,500 people in Scotland will be diagnosed with cancer and many will be entitled to Adult Disability Payment or Child Disability Payment. The payments are available to help people with a disability or long-term health condition to cover extra costs like transport or care equipment. Adult Disability Payment is available to people in work and eligibility is not based on employment or income. People who are terminally ill automatically receive the highest rates of Child Disability Payment and Adult Disability Payment they are entitled to, and there are no award reviews. Navigating the disability benefits system while coping with the physical, emotional, and financial toll of cancer can be incredibly overwhelming. The complex paperwork and application processes can be a significant burden for those already drained by their cancer journey.

Local Delivery is a free Social Security Scotland service that’s available across Scotland. It’s a way for you to get support with an application, or just ask questions about the application process. Their advisors provide invaluable one-on-one support in guiding people through the disability benefits application process. What's truly game-changing is their commitment to meeting applicants wherever they feel most comfortable - whether that's in their own home, at the hospital, or over the phone.

All Local Delivery appointments are private and confidential.
