The Prince and Princess of Wales Hospice is committed to compassionate care and we strive for excellence in the delivery of palliative care and complementary support.
We look after the whole family after patient diagnosis, including relatives, carers and friends, and we have created our support services in consultation with experts in the field, to create outstanding hospice care.
We believe in holistic care and have created an environment where we can deliver this.
The Prince & Princess of Wales offers support for children and young people, and families and carers.
Alongside our palliative care we offer physiotherapy, occupational therapy and complementary therapy treatments.
The hospice provides religious and spiritual support, a treasured art room for creative expression, and ensures that we reach all Glasgow's communities, and serve people of all faiths, genders, sexual orientation and age.
We are here to serve the city and its people, and we continue to work for excellence in the field of palliative compassionate care.
Our patients are at the centre of everything we do at The Prince & Princess of Wales Hospice.
We are palliative care experts, and our team of consultants, doctors, nurses, and caring support staff, understand the difficulties that are experienced after a diagnosis of a life-limiting or life-shortening illness.
Our aim is to treat our patients holistically, with respect and dignity, and our team of caring health and social care professionals are here to make sure patients are fully supported throughout their time with us.
We make decisions about your care, in consultation with you and your family, in order to provide the best compassionate care possible.
We offer families, carers, and friends of patients support at the hospice, as we know that the benefit of this support is vital to their wellbeing and that of our patients.
We have special services specifically for family members and carers, children and young relatives.
This enables us to look after the whole support network that surrounds our patients.
We offer counselling and bereavement services, help with legal and practical matters, as well as spiritual guidance.
Whatever way you feel you need to be supported, The Prince & Princess of Wales Hospice will find a way to help you.
If you are an external health and social care professional, the hospice clinical staff are on hand to advise.
If you need to speak to us about specific patients in your care, we can guide and direct you.
We also help educate, with The Prince & Princess of Wales education department offering courses for professionals who want to extend their palliative care knowledge.
