COVID-19 has changed the way that we all live and work, but the Hospice Team continues to offer our services to those who need it most, no matter where they are across Edinburgh and the Lothians – be that at home, in care settings or at the Hospice.
There are all sorts of misconceptions about what hospice actually is. We’re incredibly proud of our state-of-the-art hospice building, but hospice care extends far beyond four walls.
Our new Access Team offers expert advice to patients, families and health professionals at first point of contact, helping people access the right service at the right time: patient referrals; bereavement, grief and family counselling; Community Hospice; our Hospice at Home team; family support; professional advice for care organisations and all other clinical enquiries.
