St Andrews Environmental Network in partnership with the Hamish Foundation is delighted to offer free rental of beach friendly wheelchair from the hut at the West Sands Beach.

The beautiful beaches in and around St Andrews should be accessible to everyone including those with mobility issues. Our Beach Wheelchairs solve this problem. There is now a changing places facility at the Bruce Embankment. Accessible with a radar key.

We have 6 available: Small (child) hippocampe; medium hippocampe;  large hippocampe; Nomad: and 2 debug chairs.

At present, our Beach Wheelchairs are available to rent on Mondays, Wednesdays, Saturdays, and Sundays 10:00am – 4:00pm
