We strive to do this b raising awareness and funding medical research that will contribute to advancing an increased quality of life for patients. Our community programme supports patients and families affected by this incurable disease also known as metastatic breast cancer.
There’s lots of support services available to help patients living with SBC but it’s definitely not always easy to find them!
The 2nds Support Hub is curated by our lovely support coordinator Claire. We want to make it simpler for patients to find what groups and services are available online and in your region to help patients navigate life with secondary breast cancer.
We update the 2nds Support Hub on a regular basis. If you have a recommendation drop us a line.
The Patient Trial Advocate service is here to help secondary breast cancer patients potentially find a clinical trial and to support them through the clinical trial process.
The Patient Trials Advocates (PTA) are senior research nurses with experience in secondary breast cancer and clinical trials. Finding the right information about available clinical trials and understanding the associated complex information is a challenge for all secondary breast cancer patients.
If you are a patient with metastatic breast cancer and interested in seeking advice about a clinical trial, please complete the referral form below and book a slot to speak with one of our Patient Trial Advocates.
We have our Patient Trial Advocate Brochure available to download here
If you have any questions about the Patient Trial Advocates, please look at the Q&A document. If your question isn't answered, please email clinical.trials@make2ndscount.co.uk

We understand the importance of support for the friends and family of someone with secondary breast cancer so we now have a second private Facebook support group to meet this need.
This will be exclusively for parents, children, partners, siblings, cousins, friends - anyone who is a support system for someone living with secondary breast cancer. It's a safe space to share experiences with others who understand what you are going through and hopefully will help to open up new friendships with others in a similar situation.
