Our workshops are led by trained volunteers in the beauty industry and provide practical advice about changes to skin, eyebrows, eyelashes, hair, nails and body confidence. Volunteers in the health industry also lead our well-being focused workshops covering meditation, breathwork and gentle exercise to help reduce feelings of isolation and anxiety.

Skincare & Makeup Workshop - Step by step advice on skincare and makeup application to complete a natural, radiant look. Learn practical tips and techniques, including how to enhance sparse eyebrows or loss of eyelashes, to help you look and feel like you again.
Hand & Nail Care Workshop - A dedicated class focusing on simple, practical tips and techniques for your hand and nail care. Step-by-step guidance provided on how to give yourself a manicure and advice for managing dry, split, sensitive nails and ridges due to treatment.
Hair Loss, Scalp Care & New Growth Workshop - A practical workshop presented by partner charity, Cancer Hair Care, with expert advice and support on hair loss, how and when to safely colour your hair and what to expect with new hair growth. The session also covers advice on daily scalp care and moisturising, safe scalp massage and how to create an ideal platform for new hair growth whilst undergoing treatment.
Headwear, Wigs, Brows & Lashes Workshop - A practical workshop presented by partner charity, Cancer Hair Care, with expert advice and support on headwear options, hair loss accessories and how to deal with eyebrow and eyelash loss. The session also covers advice on choosing an NHS wig, wig washing and care, as well as styling tips and recommended products and suppliers.
Styling for Confidence - This new workshop, held by style experts, aims to help you come to terms with the ‘new you’ by giving tips for understanding colours and how these can impact the way you look, identifying your body shape and how to best dress for it, as well as personalising your style. Every session offers an opportunity to meet others in a similar situation and provides you with tools to implement the changes you may need to feel comfortable and confident with your body again.
Virtual Skincare & Grooming Workshop - These group sessions offer advice on skincare, safe shaving, grooming and some of the issues you may be facing as a result of your cancer treatment. Run by volunteers with skincare and barbering expertise, it’s an opportunity to ask questions and meet others in a similar situation.
Men’s Styling for Confidence - This online group workshop provides you with a taster of what our Stylist experts can do to help you deal with challenges you may face around body image and confidence.
Our Manual for Men Living With Cancer - Our detailed Manual for Men includes a wide range of information to help manage some of the side-effects of cancer treatment. We worked with a number of experts to bring this together and you will find information on skincare, shaving and grooming, oral health, advice on nutrition and fitness as well as clothing tips.

We run a series of group workshops covering Skincare & Makeup, Hand & Nail Care and Men’s Grooming all led by trained experts and lasting up to two hours. Every session offers an opportunity to meet others in a similar situation, have a chat and ask questions. It’s a chance to focus on yourself and not your cancer. We aim for lots of learning and loads of laughter.

As part of our Young Adult programme we also work closely with our hospital teams and other charities like Young Lives vs Cancer, Shine Cancer Support, Teenage Cancer Trust, Teens Unite and Trekstock to offer special group sessions.
