What we do

As a blood cancer charity, we work to:

• encourage more people to join the stem cell register and raise awareness of stem cell donation, to give as many people as possible a second chance at life
• ensure everyone who needs a stem cell transplant has equal access to one
• conduct research focused on continually improving the survival and recovery rate of people with blood cancers or disorders
• raise funds to cover the costs to us as a charity of signing people up to the stem cell donor register

We support patients, as well as their family and friends, to organise stem cell donor registration events within their communities that can enhance their donor search, rally support, and provide hope.

How we work

We raise awareness of blood cancer, blood disorders, and stem cell donation by:

• engaging the public and companies to organise stem cell donor registration events
• raising funds to increase both the size and diversity of the worldwide pool of available stem cell donors
• helping to improve outcomes for patients, through our own research and state-of-the-art laboratory
• working to ensure people signed up to the register are fully informed about how stem cell donation works
• nurturing donor relationships from the day they register; supporting them through every stage of donating and beyond
