CALICO - Cancer and Leukaemia In Children Orientated (Grampian Area)

The first priority of CALICO is to the family of any child with cancer of leukaemia to alleviate, where possible, financial stress caused by additional expenses.

CALICO (Cancer and Leukaemia In Children Orientated) is a local charitable organisation in the Grampian Region.

CALICO's aim is to support families whose children are affected by cancer, leukaemia, or related illnesses with the primary focus to help alleviate the financial pressures that families may experience as a result of additional costs associated with their child's treatment and care.

Each year, CALICO supports the Oncology Ward at the Royal Aberdeen Children's Hospital with equipment, toys, games, and craft supplies for the Outpatients Department.

We also fund the Rainbow Trail programme. Through this initiative, children receive coloured beads representing the procedures, interventions, and milestones they experience throughout their cancer journey. The beads provide a meaningful way to acknowledge and record each child's progress from diagnosis onwards.
