Cahonas Scotland

We want testicular health to be talked about openly and self-checks to be part of everyone’s monthly routine. At events, workplaces and education establishments, we share our message about the symptoms of testicular cancer and how to check for them.

Scotland's Dedicated Testicular Cancer Charity

Cahonas Scotland supports men at every stage of the testicular cancer journey, from awareness and early detection through diagnosis, treatment, recovery and life beyond cancer.

Every year, men across Scotland are diagnosed with testicular cancer. While survival rates are high when detected early, the emotional, practical and psychological impact can be significant. Many men feel isolated, overwhelmed or unsure where to turn for support.

Through education programmes, awareness campaigns, practical support, peer support and trusted information resources, Cahonas helps ensure nobody faces testicular cancer alone.

Our services include:

• Education and awareness sessions in schools, colleges, universities, workplaces and sports clubs

• The Check One Two podcast, featuring real stories and expert conversations about diagnosis, treatment and recovery

• You've Got This care packs, distributed through NHS partnerships across Scotland

• The Check In Room, offering a safe space for support and conversation

• One-to-one peer support from people with lived experience

• Group peer support activities and events Whether you're worried about symptoms, recently diagnosed, undergoing treatment or adjusting to life after cancer, we're here to help.

Because finding a lump is only the beginning.

Check One Two Podcast – The Lowdown On Testicular Cancer

Real conversations. Real experiences. Real support.

Check One Two is Cahonas Scotland's award-recognised podcast, created to help people affected by testicular cancer feel informed, supported and less alone.

Each episode features honest conversations with survivors, healthcare professionals, partners and advocates covering topics such as:

• Diagnosis and treatment

• Fertility and family planning

• Mental health and wellbeing

• Relationships and intimacy

• Testosterone and long-term health

• Returning to work, sport and everyday life

For many people, hearing from someone who has been through a similar experience can provide reassurance at a time when they need it most.

Whether you've recently been diagnosed, are supporting a loved one, or are adjusting to life after treatment, Check One Two offers trusted information and lived experience from people who understand.

Sometimes the most powerful support begins with hearing someone say, "I've been there too."

You've Got This – Cancer Care Packs

Practical support when you need it most.

Receiving a diagnosis of testicular cancer can be overwhelming. Treatment often brings uncertainty, anxiety and challenges that many people are unprepared for.

That's why Cahonas Scotland created You've Got This – Cancer Care Packs

Distributed through NHS partnerships across Scotland, these care packs provide practical items, information and reassurance to everyone in Scotland undergoing treatment for testicular cancer.

Each pack is designed to offer comfort during a difficult time while helping individuals access additional support services available through Cahonas Scotland.

The packs are part of a wider support pathway that includes information resources, peer support opportunities and connections with others who understand the realities of living with testicular cancer.

A small reminder that you don't have to face cancer alone.

Peer Support & Check In Room

Talk to someone who understands.

A diagnosis of testicular cancer can leave you feeling isolated, overwhelmed or unsure where to turn. While friends and family can offer support, many people find comfort in speaking with someone who truly understands what they are going through.

Cahonas Scotland's Peer Support & Check In Room service provides a safe, welcoming space where people affected by testicular cancer can connect, share experiences and access support from others with lived experience.

Support is available in a number of ways:

Check In Room

The Check In Room offers a relaxed and informal environment where individuals can talk openly about the challenges of diagnosis, treatment and recovery.

One-to-One Peer Support

Speak directly with someone who has experienced testicular cancer and understands the emotional and practical realities that can come with it.

Group Activities & Events

Connect with others through informal gatherings, coffee catch-ups, sporting events and shared experiences designed to reduce isolation and build community.

Whether you have recently been diagnosed, are undergoing treatment, or are adjusting to life after cancer, our peer support services can help you feel less alone and more connected.

Sometimes the most valuable support comes from talking to someone who's walked a similar path.
