Following the positive feedback received from our first Health and Wellbeing event in Edinburgh last year, we are so pleased to expand the initiative into other areas of Scotland, bringing opportunities of support to people affected by cancer in Lanarkshire.
The event will bring charities and organisations together, offering support services for people affected by cancer, alongside wellbeing activities designed to promote both physical and emotional wellbeing.
Taking place at Kirkshaws Neighbourhood Centre in Coatbridge, Lanarkshire on Thursday 25th at 1pm, attendees will have the opportunity to learn more about the services available within their local community, connect with others and take part in a range of activities throughout the day. Melanie Menzies from North Lanarkshire Council’s Active & Creative Communities team will also deliver a short talk and lead an optional physical activity session for those who wish to participate.
The original Edinburgh event was a huge success and was shortlisted for an industry award, highlighting the positive impact the event had on attendees and partner organisations alike. Building on that success, the Lanarkshire event aims to create a more intimate and community-focused environment where people affected by cancer can access support, information and wellbeing resources closer to home.
The event is free to attend, but if you would like to come along please do reserve a space here.
Later this year, we will also be hosting another Health and Well-being event in Edinburgh, continuing our commitment to creating welcoming spaces that support the wellbeing of people affected by cancer across Scotland.
