Supporting cancer patients with our digital inclusion programme

Helping those with cancer access and utilise online services.

Since February 2024, we haved worked with a number of organisations to reduce the hurdles for people affected by cancer accessing digital services. This work has included working with Lloyds Banking and the We Are Grou

There are many barriers influencing whether or not you feel safe and able to engage with digital services including affordability, access to wifi, confidence and skills.

Digital access has become more important for many of us as a way of being active in society today. Yet that has left thousands of people isolated and excluded. If you have been affected by cancer, your health and treatment may limit the time and energy you have for travelling, shopping, socialising and working. Being able to shop online, connect with family and organise bills or appointments can make things easier.

Closing the digital divide holds the potential to make life more manageable for people affected by cancer. Access to digital support is particularly useful if your immune system is vulnerable during or after cancer treatment. It opens up crucial information and support services.

Our Digital Inclusion Program

We are actively engaging with people through our community and phone support to assist in improving digital skills and access. Through our work with Lloyds Banking group we can promote access to their helpline. Each person will get one-on-one support because we know that everyone's needs are unique.

If you currently have cancer or have a history of cancer, live in the UK or Channel Islands, are aged 18 or over and are looking for digital support from Lloyds banking you can call 0345 222 0333 (Monday to Friday 9am-5pm), mention 'Cancer Card' and let's get you connected.
