4 Cancer organises days out and short breaks for families affected by cancer. This is what we call “respite”. Our respite trips have been creating memories for families affected by cancer since 2001. From sailing days to short breaks at UK holiday parks, we give families something to look forward to during the most difficult of times.
We believe that ‘time’ is our most precious commodity. Time spent with the people we love, away from the stresses of everyday life at home, can make all the difference. We bring families together in wonderful locations and enable them to create memories which last a lifetime.
When you are living with cancer, whether you are a patient or a carer, undergoing treatment or even in remission, everything seems somehow to focus on the illness. Just a day doing something different, being yourself again, feeling ‘normal’, can leave you feeling refreshed and revitalised.
When you have also tried something new and exciting it can be a huge boost to your confidence. It is for these reasons that we provide cancer patients and their families, carers and those recently bereaved with a wide range of activities to try.
Our respite programme for this year will offer plenty of opportunities for people living with cancer to spend some quality time with their families, away from the stresses of living with a cancer diagnosis. Everything we do is focusing on creating lasting memories.
